About the creator

Hi, I’m Sayaka, the creator of Bento Club. I live a quiet life in the Japanese countryside, where I enjoy cooking and finding small ways to celebrate each season. Seasonal foods and traditions have always been a meaningful part of everyday life for me. I also love letters and stationery. Receiving a thoughtful letter can fill your heart in a way that a message on a screen cannot. Japan has so many beautiful paper goods inspired by its four seasons, and discovering them is one of my favorite little joys. I created Bento Club because I wanted to share a kind of Japanese bento experience that only I could create—shaped by the food, seasons, and everyday details I have known while growing up in Japan. Making a real bento exactly as you imagine it can be difficult. With Bento Club, you can choose your favorite food stickers and create your own bento calendar while using your hands, slowing down, and taking a little break from social media. Every card, sticker, calendar, and letter is originally designed and prepared by me. Occasionally, when I discover a lovely piece of stationery in Japan, I may secretly tuck it into an envelope as a little surprise. I hope Bento Club brings a quiet moment of creativity and a little more color to your heart.
