I’m Jessica, the artist and writer behind J. Ruscello Studios. I have been a photographer and a writer since the third grade, and I joined the lineage of my grandmother and my mother to become a painter a couple of years ago.
I have always collected beautiful details: tiled floors, fountain pens, flowers spilling over walls, hotel stationery, old bookplates, the exact blue of a swimming pool, the type on a café menu. I paint them, photograph them, write about them, and occasionally develop opinions about them that are wildly disproportionate to their practical importance. Everything is my favorite.
