Hi, I’m Anna!
I’m a bit of a history nerd and a huge lover of historical fiction. Give me an old letter, a forgotten photograph or a story from another time and I’ll happily disappear down a rabbit hole wondering who wrote it, where they lived and what their ordinary days looked like.
That’s really how One Hundred Years Ago began.
I wanted to create something that makes history feel a little less like dates in a textbook and a little more like stepping into someone else’s life. So, every month, I bring Beatrice’s world to life through her letters, a period newspaper and little pieces inspired by what was happening exactly one hundred years ago.
I create, print and put everything together myself here in London, and honestly, researching all the tiny historical details is probably my favourite part.
I hope opening your envelope feels a little like finding something that has been waiting for you for a hundred years.
