About the creator
Bobby, known to every kid in the family as “Pops,” has always loved cartoon character strips. He can remember when he was a kid waiting for the Sunday paper to be the first one to grab the comic section of the paper. This club will bring you back in time to that fun filled reading era!
But Pops’s favorite role is grandpa. He brings his grandkids right into barn life, teaching them to feed, groom, and care for the horses and pony. Mucking stalls, filling water buckets, and checking hooves aren’t just chores. They’re lessons in responsibility, patience, and showing up for someone who depends on you.
Pops also knows what the horses give back. Time with them calms busy minds, builds confidence, and teaches kids to read feelings, both the animal’s and their own. A quiet brushing session or a talk leaning on the fence can do more for a worried heart than almost anything else. Pops says the horses do as much raising as he does.
Whether he’s drawing a new strip, leading a pony around the paddock with a grandchild aboard, or swapping stories at the end of the day, Pops is building something that will last with the kids who are kind, capable, and ready to take on the world.
