About the creator

Hello, I am so glad you found your way here. I have been making things for as long as I can remember — drawing, painting, sculpting, photographing, cooking, weaving, beading. If it can be made by hand, I have probably tried it. Making things and sharing them with people I love is simply how I am wired. I am an artist and photographer moved to Portugal 5 years ago and travel with my family every opportunity we get. I see myself as someone who exists between places, between cultures, between languages. I have learned that this in-between space is actually where the most interesting things live. My photographs come from 30 years of looking carefully at the world — at cobblestone streets, botanical details, crumbling facades, morning light on water, the way a lace curtain moves in an open window. I am drawn to beauty that most people walk past without noticing. The Mystery Post started because I missed receiving real letters. I was inspired by these extraordinary Portuguese streets and wish to share with people who would appreciate it. Because I believe that something handmade and posted across the world carries a kind of warmth that no digital message ever quite reaches. I also have a 14-year-old daughter named Noga, who is a genuinely gifted artist. You may find her work tucked inside a future letter — a surprise, when it happens.
