About the creator

Meet Theodore Threadgoode Postmaster of Thread Post, Keeper of the Great Thimble Lantern, and faithful steward of every letter that finds its way to Thimble Hollow. Long ago, Theodore arrived by way of a tiny bobbin boat after a great storm carried him far across the Threaded Sea. Though he always says he meant to continue his journey, the village quietly became his home. Each evening, as dusk settles over Button Bridge, Theodore climbs the winding stairs of the lighthouse and tends the Great Thimble Lantern, feeding it tiny snippets of thread so its gentle light may shine across the sea. He believes that every letter carries a bit of hope, every kind word has a destination, and that no one is ever truly beyond finding their way. With his gentle Old English manner, endless supply of tea, and satchel never far from reach, Theodore welcomes every traveler as though they were expected all along.
