About the creator
Hi, I'm Pastor Natalie! I've been in full-time ministry for over a decade, and I currently serve as the senior pastor of a courageous, compassionate church in Austin, TX, where hosting union rallies, safe space for student activists, and meals for our food-insecure neighbors is at least as important as Sunday-morning worship. I love my church, AND I know that traditional church just isn't for everyone. I created "The People's Pastor" as a touchpoint of support and connection for whoever needs it.
Some things I care deeply about and will probably write about and/or make art about at some point (full disclosure!) include: Palestinian liberation, queer and trans rights, reproductive justice, and anti-racism (among other things that make the trolls on social media go crazy, but that my faith and understanding of Jesus' teachings move me toward). I love pop music, read lots of fiction, and am astrology-curious. I have two kiddos, a smokin' hot husband (that was a joke for the ex-vangelicals, but truly, he's a great partner), and a slightly deranged but lovable pup.
I do my fair share of scrolling, but I absolutely love getting real actual paper mail. I hope The People's Pastor will give you something real to look forward to each month!
