Art Mom Club

Fibre artist Allyson Rousseau, based in Pictou, Nova Scotia, created Art Mom Club to help busy parents keep making things. Each monthly envelope carries a letter plus a mix of guided creative exercises or paper crafts, journal and sketchbook prompts, mini art supplies, postcards, stickers, bookmarks, encouraging mantras and free patterns, all designed to need very little prep.

It costs 13 Canadian dollars a month and can be paused or canceled anytime. A sponsorship option funds free surprise envelopes for moms nominated by the community.

Written with mothers in mind, though anyone looking for low-pressure creative time is welcome, and it makes a thoughtful gift for a new parent.
