Letterjoy

Letterjoy mails reproductions of real letters from history, printed on stationery, vellum or parchment and sent in an ivory envelope with a first-class stamp. Writers range from presidents and generals to scientists, novelists and Seneca, and every letter comes with The Postscript, a researched article on who wrote it and what was happening at the time.

Letters go out weekly. The Letter Club costs $29 a month for four letters and lets you switch topics (American history, military history, science, famous authors and more) whenever you like; a month-to-month Seneca plan is $18.95. Prepaid 3, 6 and 12-month packages are also sold. US postage is included, and addresses abroad pay a postage surcharge. The company is based in Washington, DC.
