Hello, I’m Rebecca, a psychologist, writer, mum, and the person behind Letters & Lullabies.
I’ve always loved stories, handwritten letters, beautiful stationery and the changing seasons.
Becoming a mother myself gave me a new appreciation for just how much can shift during this chapter of life. Alongside the experience of caring for a baby, there’s also the experience of becoming a mother: making sense of who we are, what matters to us and how we find our way through unfamiliar territory.
I created Letters & Lullabies to bring together my love of writing, fiction and psychology in a way that feels personal and enjoyable.
I wanted to create something that wasn’t another piece of parenting advice or another thing for a new mum to do. Instead, something thoughtful to receive through the post, with stories to enjoy, letters to return to and a little encouragement along the way.
My background in psychology naturally influences some of the themes I explore, but at its heart, Letters & Lullabies is about the pleasure of reading, the connection we can find through stories and remembering to make a little room for ourselves.
I hope you enjoy receiving these letters as much as I enjoy creating them.
