Hi! I'm Rachel.
I love Jesus, my family, cooking and talking.
We should start off our relationship with some honesty. I am sooooo not perfect! I have made many, many mistakes in my life and have been through my fair share of trials and tribulations. However, they have all served to strengthen my walk with Christ. He is so faithful and so good, even when circumstances look otherwise.
You know how there are certain things in life that you are passionate about? For me that has always been my faith, because that is the basis of it all, and my family which includes my husband, two sons, one daughter-in-love and a granddaughter.
I am quite certain that cooking is my love language. I even sold Pampered Chef kitchen tools many years ago. Just don't ever let me hear you call them kitchen gadgets unless you want to be sent to time out!
Working with children in one way or another has been a part of my life since I started babysitting at a young age. I am currently a pediatric speech language pathologist and love it. l love being able to help children express themselves.
Hosting young adults at our home is one of my latest hobbies. They bring so much energy and life. We listen to their stories and offer support and encouragement as they navigate the transitions in their lives. I’m not certain if they enjoy our company or mostly the leftovers that we send home with them. Either way, they keep coming back.
I enjoy spending time outside and often take pictures of nature surrounding our home. Sunshine, rocks, trees and flowers all feel like little hugs from God.
I have longed for some time now to share the love of Jesus in a personal, unique way, but just wasn't sure what that looked like. When I learned about letter clubs I felt an immediate quickening in my spirit and thought, "Oh! This sounds just like me!" I love sending people cards with scriptures in them. I pray over them and try to write exactly what the Holy Spirit is telling me.
