A little about me… Hello, and welcome. I'm Samantha, a lover of the countryside, nature, wildlife, dogs and all the little things that make life feel a little easier. I live in the beautiful English countryside, where many of my ideas begin on my daily walks with my faithful companion, Duke. I love noticing the little things that are so easily overlooked — the changing seasons, a robin in the hedgerow, an unexpected wildlife encounter, or simply the way the light dapples through the trees. And weirdly perhaps, I love the smell of a freshly ploughed field😊 I've always loved the idea of snail mail and the excitement of receiving something lovely through the post. In a world that often feels hurried and overwhelming, I wanted to create something a little different: a small, personal moment of colour and curiosity that may brighten someone's day. When I Walk the Dog is my way of sharing the things that make me smile, from little thoughts and seasonal musings to folklore, nature-inspired stories and creative treats. Everything is put together with care, with the hope that, for a few moments, you'll feel encouraged to slow down, enjoy the seemingly small things and perhaps see the world a little differently.
