Hi, I'm Karah!
I'm an artist, creator, and firm believer that there is always something good worth noticing.
Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. When I was little, I was constantly drawing, creating, and was always finding joy in the process. Over the years, life became busier, and creativity often took a back seat. This journey has been my way of reconnecting with that part of myself and making space for the things that bring me joy.
My work is inspired by everyday moments, nature, nostalgia, kindness, and the beauty that can be found in ordinary life. It is also deeply inspired by my father, John Hunter who passed away of cancer in June 2023. Throughout my life, he often reminded me to "focus on the good," a simple phrase that has become the foundation of both my art and the way I live each and every day. His perspective on life taught me that even in difficult seasons, there is still good to be found, gratitude to be practiced, and hope worth holding onto.
Through my art, I hope to create pieces that feel uplifting and meaningful; little reminders to slow down, appreciate the present moment, and focus on the good!
The philosophy behind everything I create and the way I try to live is simple: life isn't always perfect, but there is beauty, hope, and simplicity to be found in the good if we're willing to look for it. Whether it's through a painting, a handwritten letter, or a piece of mail, my goal is to share a little more positivity and connection with the world while honoring the lesson my dad left with me.
