À propos de l'artiste
I’m Cathy Addis, an artist based in Dublin. I originally trained in painting and exhibited my work in galleries, but for the past eleven years much of my creative life has been centred around teaching yoga and exploring spirituality, intuition and the different ways we connect with ourselves and the world around us.
Over the past five years I’ve found myself returning more and more to my art, but in a much more intuitive and personal way. I mostly work in watercolour now, painting what catches my attention or inspires me, often the birds and animals I encounter, the moon and its cycles, and the symbolism or message I begin to see within them. In many ways, it has felt like putting a voice to my art.
When I came across the idea of a small mail club, something clicked. It felt like the perfect way to bring a piece of my artwork out into the world while bringing together the things I love, art, nature, symbolism, numerology, cycles and reflection.
The Monthly Messenger is the beginning of that idea: a small piece of original art and a message, created with intention and sent from me to you through the post.
