Hi there! I’m the illustrator, dreamer, and head architect behind The Paper Menagerie.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the magic of storybook illustration and the unique charm of handmade paper goods. My art style draws heavy inspiration from classic, whimsical line work and "wonky-clean" geometry. I love taking ordinary, everyday objects—like an old work boot, a vintage gumball machine, or a recycled aluminum can—and reimagining them as cozy, towering fortresses for a colorful cast of animal and insect neighbors.
The idea for The Paper Menagerie Mail Club was born right at my own studio desk. Like so many of us, I found myself completely overwhelmed by the constant digital noise of screens, notifications, and algorithms. I missed the tactile, slow-paced joy of real mail—the feeling of breaking a seal, holding a heavy sheet of printed paper, and collecting physical keepsakes you can touch and display.
Every single house, character, newspaper layout, and map you receive in your monthly dispatch is sketched, vectorized, and engineered by hand right here in my studio. My goal is to send you a miniature world in an envelope every single month—a creative escape that gives you a reason to slow down, smile, and unplug.
When I’m not at my iPad sketching out the next neighborhood crossbar or checking on Reggie's river boat, you can usually find me walking my dog, navigating a busy family calendar, or enjoying a quiet morning routine in the studio.
