In a world that moves ever faster and is filled with digital communication, I found myself longing for something that often gets lost along the way: genuine connection, intentional pauses, and the simple joy of handwritten words. At some point, I realized that my mailbox contained nothing but bills. At the same time, I was constantly online, yet I still didn’t feel truly connected. I started writing letters again—and discovered how much peace and joy there is in it. With Light in Letters, I wanted to create a space where people can slow down and reconnect with themselves. A place where mindfulness, creativity, and appreciation have a home—and where a simple letter can become a small moment of light in everyday life. My vision is to bring people together through handwritten correspondence and offer them a meaningful pause from the busyness of daily life each month. Because sometimes it is the simplest things—a letter in the mailbox, a few heartfelt words, a quiet moment—that touch us most deeply. What fascinates me most about letters is their lasting nature. Unlike digital messages, they do not disappear into an inbox or get buried beneath endless notifications. They remain. You can return to them again and again, reread them, and relive the feelings of the moment they were written. Over time, they become treasured keepsakes—and sometimes even small works of art that hold a special place in our homes and our hearts. In einer Welt, die sich immer schneller bewegt und von digitaler Kommunikation geprägt ist, spürte ich eine Sehnsucht nach etwas, das unterwegs oft verloren geht: echte Verbindung, bewusste Pausen und die einfache Freude handgeschriebener Worte. Irgendwann bemerkte ich, dass mein Briefkasten nur noch mit Rechnungen gefüllt war. Gleichzeitig war ich ständig online – und fühlte mich trotzdem nicht wirklich verbunden. Ich begann wieder, Briefe zu schreiben, und entdeckte dabei, wie viel Ruhe, Freude und Wärme darin liegen. Mit Light in Letters wollte ich einen Ort schaffen, an dem Menschen langsamer werden und wieder eine Verbindung zu sich selbst finden können. Einen Ort, an dem Achtsamkeit, Kreativität und Wertschätzung zuhause sind – und an dem ein einfacher Brief zu einem kleinen Lichtmoment im Alltag werden darf. Meine Vision ist es, Menschen durch handgeschriebene Briefe miteinander zu verbinden und ihnen jeden Monat eine wertvolle Pause vom Trubel des Alltags zu schenken. Denn manchmal sind es die einfachsten Dinge – ein Brief im Briefkasten, ein paar liebevolle Worte, ein stiller Moment – die uns am tiefsten berühren. Was mich an Briefen besonders fasziniert, ist ihre Beständigkeit. Anders als digitale Nachrichten verschwinden sie nicht in einem Posteingang und gehen nicht zwischen unzähligen Benachrichtigungen verloren. Sie bleiben. Man kann immer wieder zu ihnen zurückkehren, sie erneut lesen und die Gefühle des Moments, in dem sie geschrieben wurden, wieder erleben. Mit der Zeit werden sie zu wertvollen Erinnerungsstücken – und manchmal sogar zu kleinen Kunstwerken, die einen besonderen Platz in unserem Zuhause und in unserem Herzen finden. Ich glaube daran, dass handgeschriebene Briefe etwas schaffen, das in unserer schnelllebigen Welt immer seltener wird: eine greifbare Verbindung, die bleibt. Danke, dass du hier bist.
