Enchanted Postmark

Enchanted Postmark builds each monthly dispatch around a featured bird. Inside the envelope: an original 5x7 art print of that bird, two illustrated postcards to keep or send, a letter about the bird, the season and correspondence, and a small paper extra such as stickers, a bookmark or a library card. Recent birds include the house sparrow, Atlantic puffin and American goldfinch, with the raven next.

The club is based in Nova Scotia, Canada, and costs CAD 12 a month or CAD 33 per quarter, with shipping added by destination for Canada, the US and other countries. Sign-ups through September 30 get the October edition, which features the raven.

It also hosts monthly mail swaps for members who love writing back.
