Illustrated letters from fictional characters that tell a year-long story
Each story arrives as letters written in character, with hand-drawn illustrations and period extras tucked in: postcards, telegrams, tickets, news clippings, coded notes, puzzles and the odd recipe. There are seven stories to pick from, set in the American Revolution, the Regency, the Gilded Age, the Victorian West, the 1910s, World War II and a fantasy world.
A story runs for 24 mailings over twelve months, two envelopes a month, from $13 a month or prepaid. US subscribers get their letters on a schedule by regular mail; international orders are prepaid only and ship all 24 letters together in one tracked package. Each story also includes 12 blank postcards and free history articles online.
Good for readers of historical fiction who want a slow, novel-length story by post.
