Umi Mail Club

Writer Aniko Villalba spent two decades creating for the internet before going offline with Umi Mail Club, which she writes, prints and packs herself in Amsterdam. Each month brings a small letter on illustrated paper, an original story, poem or reflection, two creative prompts to glue into a journal, and an extra such as a sticker, postcard, collage or photograph, wrapped in tissue paper. The 2026 theme is the sea.

The English edition costs 10.95 euros a month with free worldwide shipping by untracked letter mail. Sign up before the 20th to get that month's letter. A Spanish edition is also offered, and past letters can be bought separately.
