Sobre el artista

I’m Anna, an artist and writer in Lakeland, Florida, and the person behind Marisol at Sea. Marisol is curious, observant, independent, and slightly mischievous. She notices the details most people miss, forms opinions quickly, and is never afraid to wander off the expected route. She is stylish without taking herself too seriously, deeply interested in people and places, and always looking for the story hidden inside a room, a menu, a port, or a passing conversation. I created Marisol at Sea as a way to make that world tangible through letters, photographs, drawings, menus, shipboard notices, and other pieces of imagined 1952 correspondence. Each mailing is part story, part artifact, and part invitation to travel with her.
