A quick guide to snail mail clubs
What is a snail mail club?
A snail mail club is a subscription to real mail. Every month (some clubs ship every two weeks or every quarter), the creator sends all members a new edition: a handwritten or printed letter, an art print, stickers, a zine, postcards, sometimes a small gift. Most clubs are run by a single artist or writer, so each one has its own style and story.
How to choose a club
Start with what you would love to open: letters and stories, art prints, stickers and stationery, something cozy, or a club for kids. Then check how often it ships, where it ships from, whether it ships to your country, and the price including shipping. Many clubs show their past mailings, so you can see exactly what members received.
What does it cost?
Most monthly clubs on MailClubly cost $9.35 to $13 a month in the US (median $10.50), around £10 in the UK and €10 in Europe. Shipping is usually extra, and each creator sets their own price.
Clubs on MailClubly and on other platforms
Clubs hosted on MailClubly take subscriptions right on their page: you pick a plan, see the shipping cost for your country and the date of the next mailing, and can cancel anytime from the billing portal linked in their emails. Clubs marked with another platform (Shopify, Etsy, Patreon…) are independent clubs we hand-picked, and you subscribe on their own shop.
