Letter numbers (#1, #2…) for sequential clubs
See which letter each subscriber should receive, perfect for clubs where everyone starts at the beginning.
Some clubs tell a story in order: everyone starts with letter #1, then #2, and so on, no matter when they joined. MailClubly tracks this for you.
Where to find it
In Mailings, click Subscribers on any mailing. The Letter column shows each person's number:
- #1: this is their first mailing
- #2: their second
- and so on
Use the All letters filter to show only, say, Letter #1, so you know exactly how many welcome packages to prepare. The letter number is also included in the Export CSV.
How it's counted
A subscriber's letter number is 1 + the number of mailings they've already received or paid for before this one. Refunded, skipped and failed mailings don't count.
Good to know
- The automatic "your mail is on the way" email uses your mailing's title, which is the same for everyone. For sequential clubs, a neutral title (for example "October dispatch") reads naturally whichever letter someone receives.
- Letter numbers appear in the per-mailing lists, not on the main Subscribers page.
