Tiers: sell several versions of your club

Offer a standard and a deluxe version, a kids' edition, or a private charter offer, each with its own price.

A tier is a version of your club that members can choose: for example Standard and Deluxe, or Letters and Letters + print. Every club starts with one tier, and your club works exactly as before until you add another.

Add a tier

  1. Go to Subscription. Under your price, click Add another tier.
  2. The first time, give your current tier a name too (for example Standard), so members can tell them apart.
  3. Set the new tier's Name, Price and What's included (one item per line, shown on your page), and optionally an Image.
  4. Click Add tier.

Your club page then shows a choice of tiers, each with its price and what's included. Drag tiers by the handle to change their order on the page.

What's shared, and what a tier can change

Everything about your club is shared by all tiers: your page, your schedule, your shipping zones, your launch offers. A tier only stores what's different about it. In a tier, Customize for this tier lets you set:

  • Spot limit: the tier shows as full when it's reached. A member who leaves frees their spot. (Your club's total Subscriber limit still applies on top.)
  • Envelope weight: for a heavier envelope than your usual mailing. Its shipping is priced at that weight.
  • Prepay discounts: the club's, its own, or none (monthly only).

Turn off Show on the club page to hide a tier. It can then only be joined through its own link: click the link icon on the tier to copy it. Useful for a private offer, a charter group or an offer for a partner.

Mailings with several tiers

All tiers share the same mailings. In each mailing's list (and its CSV export), a Tier column tells you what each member gets, and you can filter by tier.

Good to know

  • Changing a tier's price only affects people who join afterwards. Members keep the price they joined at.
  • A tier nobody has joined can be deleted. Once someone has joined, you can hide it instead.
  • Switching tiers: there's no switch button. A member who wants another tier cancels and joins the other one.
  • Gifts can be of any shown tier: the buyer picks it on the gift page.
  • Your club's "from" price in the directory is your lowest tier's price.
